BASEMENT FLOODING PROTECTION SUBSIDY PROGRAM OFFERED TO HOMEOWNERS
This applies to installing a back-water valve on the sanitary sewage and/or storm water connection and/or installing a sump pump to manage the water normally collected by footing weeping tiles that drain to the sanitary/storm or combined sewer.
Grants are offered to help protect you against basement flooding for up to 80% of the cost (maximum $3200.00)
This work must be carried out by a plumber, licensed by the City. We are contractors licensed to carry out this work and to perform a site assessment to determine the suitability of isolating the drains from the City’s sewer system.
